Job Overview

BioLegacy Research is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In Vivo Research Technician to support preclinical animal studies. This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on working directly with laboratory animals. This position is ideal for candidates looking to gain foundational experience in in vivo research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with handling and restraint of laboratory animals
  • Support daily monitoring of animal health, behavior, and well-being
  • Aid in preparation of study materials, supplies, and procedure areas
  • Support dosing activities by preparing materials and assisting senior staff
  • Aid in basic sample collection (e.g., blood, tissues) under supervision
  • Record observations and study-related activities accurately and in a timely manner
  • Follow all SOPs, GLP guidelines, and animal welfare (IACUC) requirements
  • Support necropsy and tissue collection activities as needed
  • Work closely with team members and follow direction from supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, or related field preferred
  • Strong interest in in vivo animal research
  • Willingness to work hands-on with laboratory animals (rodents)
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn new techniques
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and strong work ethic

PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Any exposure to animal handling or laboratory environments (academic, internship, or work experience)
  • Basic understanding of research or preclinical studies

This Role Is NOT A Fit For

  • Candidates seeking primarily: Cell culture or in vitro laboratory work
  • Bench-based molecular biology roles without animal work
