In Store Sales - Driver

About the role

You will perform customer service activities including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments. You will also handle counter sales for in-store customers, support the outside sales team, evaluate and recommend products, equipment, and programs, and promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories.

Additional responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, maintaining customer records and files, performing outbound calls to retail and small customers, selling products at minimum discount to achieve target margins, and serving as a backup relief truck driver as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service activities: receive and enter telephone orders, answer questions, resolve challenges, and trace order status or product shipments.
• Conduct counter sales for in-store customers.
• Provide sales support to the outside sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories.
• Conduct product demonstrations.
• Maintain accurate customer records, including account setup and pricing.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins.
• Serve as a backup relief truck driver as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year(s) of Customer Service, Inside Sales, or Counter Sales experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related driving convictions within the last ten (10) years.
• At least two years of driving experience or completion of a truck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde's.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or other moving violations in the past two (2) years.
• A current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid Class A or B CDL is required.
• Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Pay

Pay range: $19.47 - $28.56 per hour.
