In-Store Sales Associate
About the role
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a dynamic in-store sales representative to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service or counter sales, with experience in an industrial setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Takes phone orders, addresses inquiries, tracks order status and shipments, and solves customer issues
- Assesses and recommends products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target margins
- Conducts product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide the development of new offerings
- Works closely with, and provides, sales support to the Outside Sales team
- Maintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing
- Performs warehouse duties and moves cylinders for customers as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer Service or Counter Sales experience
- Industrial setting preferred
- Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred
Qualifications
- No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years
- Effective communication and active listening skills
