Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and document shipping and receiving of product and rental orders.
- Transport safety equipment to and from customer sites using a small truck and trailer setup.
- Clean, inspect, and perform simple repairs on safety equipment, including gas monitors, breathing air systems, fire extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Track, organize, and manage safety and rental equipment inventory, ensuring all items are in good working condition, properly documented, and readily available for customer needs.
- Track, oversee, and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are in safe, operable condition for product deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, shop, and yard areas.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and inventory adjustments.
- Assist customers with questions about equipment use, maintenance, and safety best practices.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and repair techniques for equipment maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate a small truck and trailer; valid driver’s license with a 3-year clean driving record history.
- Willingness and aptitude to quickly learn new tasks, equipment, and procedures with guidance and training.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and support their equipment needs.
- Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
- Able to lift and carry equipment up to 45 lbs regularly.
Working Environment
- Plant environment.
- May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration.
- Works in customer environments.
- May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay
$25–$27 per hour.
