In-Person & ONLINE Certified Medical Administrative Assistant [CMAA] w/ Medical Terminology

About the Program

Goode Education Group’s Private Career School (PCS), approved by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, offers free career training for qualified NJ residents. Our programs are designed to recharge and refine your skills, helping you return to the workforce with industry-recognized certifications. Training is available both in-person and online.

Available Courses

• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)

  Start a rewarding career in patient care by becoming a CPCT/A. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, and providing basic bedside care under nursing supervision. The program includes preparation for the NHA CPCT/A certification exam (included in tuition), as well as job readiness, interview skills, and resume writing.

• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) with Medical Terminology

  Prepare for administrative and clinical duties in a medical office. Training covers telephone techniques, insurance processing, medical records, computerized fiscal management, medical transcription, and word processing. The course also includes medical terminology, communications, and an introduction to pharmacology. Upon completion, students are prepared for the CMAA certification exam (included in tuition), with additional support for job readiness, interview skills, and resume writing.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

  Begin a career in healthcare as a Pharmacy Technician. This role involves assisting pharmacists with prescriptions, focusing on detail and critical thinking. The program prepares students for the ExCPT exam (included in tuition) and includes job readiness, interview skills, and resume writing.

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

  Become a Medical Assistant and work directly with patients in medical settings. Responsibilities include reviewing patient medical histories, measuring vital signs, disinfecting instruments, and assisting physicians during examinations. The program prepares students for the CCMA exam (included in tuition) and covers job readiness, interview skills, and resume writing.

• Teacher Assistant/Teacher Aide/ParaProfessional (Online Only)

  Start a fulfilling career in education by becoming a Certified Teacher Assistant. Responsibilities include supporting teachers with classroom activities, assisting students’ learning needs, managing behavior, and handling administrative tasks. The program prepares students for the Para-Pro certification exam (included in tuition) and emphasizes job readiness, interview techniques, and resume writing. Available only to Essex County, NJ residents.
