In-House Counsel
About the role
As the In-House Counsel, you will provide—at the direction of the Assistant General Counsel—quality, accurate, and relevant advice on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the Center. You will draft, review, and negotiate commodity, revenue, and expenditure contracts, as well as participate in the procurement processes for the contracts and purchasing departments.
This position will work closely with agency departments, divisions, and the Legal Team on a diverse array of legal matters, including providing legal guidance, conducting research, and preparing memoranda and other documentation as assigned. You will be part of MHMR’s Legal Team and report to the Assistant General Counsel-Legal Services.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school
- One (1) year of legal experience (experience in a community center, behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or health industry preferred)
- Certificates for Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act trainings
