In-Home Sales Consultant
About the role
Windows on Washington is a respected exterior home improvement company serving homeowners in Northern Virginia and Maryland since 2005, specializing in premium replacement windows and doors. As part of the Mosaic Service Partners community, the company provides access to expertise, investment, and resources to continually raise the bar for homeowners. The In‑Home Sales Consultant role involves meeting with homeowners in their homes, understanding their window and door needs, and guiding them to the right solution using the One Call Clarity sales methodology. Consultants run their own appointments, close projects averaging $15,000–$20,000, and build a growing book of business through referrals and neighborhood outreach. This is an uncapped, commission‑based position for a driven, competitive individual who wants income to reflect effort, reporting directly to a hands‑on Sales Manager and benefiting from Mosaic’s national network tools, training, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Run 2 to 3 in‑home sales appointments per day within a 50 to 75 mile radius of Sterling, VA, presenting Windows on Washington's replacement window and door solutions to homeowners.
- Close at a minimum of 28% by listening to each homeowner's needs, building trust, and guiding them through the One Call Clarity consultative sales process.
- Build your own book of business by turning every customer into an advocate who refers friends and neighbors, and by visiting the neighbors of active Windows on Washington installations, aiming for 50% or more self‑generated leads by the end of your first year.
- Follow up consistently with homeowners and manage your pipeline, including tracking and revisiting opportunities that did not close on the first visit.
- Keep customer records, quotes, measurements, and sales paperwork accurate and current using HubSpot (CRM), Vendo (quoting system), and CoachMo (AI‑assisted sales coaching tool).
- Attend the weekly Wednesday morning virtual sales clinic and the Thursday morning in‑person sales meeting in Sterling.
- Complete a structured 4‑week training program that combines a week‑long boot camp, two weeks of TruCore training with field ride‑alongs alongside experienced consultants, and continued coaching to run appointments independently.
- Represent Windows on Washington with professionalism in every home and help build a team culture rooted in competitiveness, accountability, and respect for the homeowner.
