Primary Responsibilities
- Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, skin care, transfers, positioning, ambulation, dressing, and medication reminders.
- Lives-in and sleep-over services: Secures clients’ homes, provides reassurance, and attends to clients at night.
- Utilizes Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program as applicable.
- Affords assistance with household tasks directly essential to personal care, accompanies clients to medical appointments, and performs other essential errands.
- Measures and records vital signs and prepares meals based on client’s preferences.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment, ensuring the safe use of equipment.
- Records and reports activities related to personal care responsibilities and reports observations and incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Flexible working hours as required to meet identified patients' needs.
- Ability to work in various home situations regardless of client's age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
State Specific Requirements
- New York: Must have completed a training program in home health aide services OR equivalent exam OR one full year experience in providing personal care services through a home care agency OR training program in personal care services.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of home care experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Solid communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and their families, keeping personal matters confidential.
- A solid commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
Pay and Benefits
The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
