About the role

Visiting Angels of Paris is hiring an In Home Personal Aide to support senior adults in communities throughout the local area, including Sulphur Springs, Paris, Mt. Pleasant, Clarksville, Cooper, Talco, and many others. The role offers flexibility, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Manage light housekeeping tasks
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times
• Assist with shopping and putting away groceries, or shop for clients as needed
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities
• Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including getting around the house, attending doctor visits, and taking walks
• Act quickly and appropriately in the case of medical emergencies, reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
