In Home Personal Aide

About the role

Visiting Angels of Carmel is hiring an In Home Personal Aide to support elderly and home-care clients throughout the Hamilton County area, including Zionsville, Indianapolis, Carmel, Noblesville, Westville, Fishers, and surrounding communities. This role offers flexibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Encourage and support clients in meeting exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications as scheduled
• Assist with grocery shopping and putting away groceries
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients based on their abilities
• Provide mobility and ambulation assistance, including transportation to appointments and walks
• Act quickly and appropriately in medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• Compassion for vulnerable individuals seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
