Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families across Louisville, St. Matthews, Lyndon, High Point, Shively, and Spring Mill, Kentucky. This role offers the opportunity to practice medicine without a waiting room, double-booked schedules, or corporate production metrics—just you, a family who loves their pet, and the time to do it right.

We are a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led veterinary practice that does not use non-compete contracts. Your career here is built on your own terms, and we aim to earn the right to be part of it.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets
Work independently in a mobile environment
Maintain weekend availability on a rotational basis
Lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
Demonstrate compassion, dignity, and respect in all interactions
Communicate professionally with team members and families

Requirements

DVM, VMD, or BVMS degree
Valid driver’s license
