About the role

Lifesteps, a local human service agency with over 100 years of service, is hiring compassionate staff to provide care for adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Indiana, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and home care
• Support adults with disabilities in daily activities such as dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to medical appointments
• Cook and serve meals
• Clean the home
• Shop for groceries and supplies
• Provide personal care assistance (e.g., grooming, bathing)
• Administer medication
• Assist with individual goal attainment
• Coordinate and participate in community outings and recreational activities

Schedule

• Full-time: Evenings 3 pm to 11 pm
• Part-time: Flexible scheduling available

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs with assistance
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; paid training provided
• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional is welcome
