Pay Rate: $16-$20/hour with differential pay for nights and weekends. Weekly pay available.

Being an In-Home Caregiver - Housekeeper at Visiting Angels Springfield is a rewarding job that allows you to give back to your community and broaden your skills. The Springfield office team provides caregivers for Macoupin County and surrounding areas, including Sangamon, Menard, Morgan, and Logan counties. We are seeking compassionate individuals committed to providing care to senior adults and those in need. This role offers personal growth opportunities, including advanced training in areas like Dementia Care or Alzheimer’s Care.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (e.g., doctor’s appointments, walks)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients (when able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements

• Passion to serve others—a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
