In-Home Caregiver

About the role

Hiring for all shifts! It’s easy to go to work when you’re making someone’s day. Every day. As a Senior Helpers of Kanawha Valley Caregiver, you make a lasting impact that betters the lives of our clients AND their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home.
• Build relationships with clients through engaging conversations.
• Participate in clients' favorite hobbies such as scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.
• Prep meals for clients to enjoy.
• Aid clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report activities completed with clients and provide updates on their physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Qualifications

• No experience required — we provide paid orientation and ongoing training.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
• You are passionate about helping others.
• You enjoy customer service and communicating with clients.
• You want to help your community and make a difference in someone’s life.
• Preferred: A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance, high school diploma or GED, experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare, or experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
