Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is a veteran-owned company dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate homecare services to veterans. This role involves assisting veterans with various daily activities, ensuring their comfort and independence.

Responsibilities

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow. They must be able to:

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Have a valid driver’s license
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Skills

Essential skills for this role include:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
• Basic computer skills (e.g., using email, scheduling software)
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR (preferred but not required)

Pay

Compensation for this role is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM.
