In Home Behavior Technician

About the role

Join our team as a Behavior Technician and help teach communication, social, play, and everyday life skills using ABA therapy for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You'll provide in-home and community-based therapy, track client progress during sessions, and work closely with families in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years, as mandated by Massachusetts state insurance requirements
  • One of the following:
    • Minimum of 60 college credits completed
    • 6 months of recent work experience with children with developmental disabilities
    • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Minimum availability of 4 days a week for 4 hours a day (after 3pm)
  • Reliable transportation and comfort driving to client sessions
  • Access and ability to use a smartphone or similar device with internet services for capturing client session data

Qualifications

  • Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide
  • Special Education Aide or Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Caregiver, Respite Worker, or Youth Coach
  • Preschool Teacher, Teacher's Assistant, or Childcare Provider
  • Nanny, Babysitter, or Camp Counselor
  • Tutor or Substitute Teacher
  • Behavioral Health Technician or Interventionist
  • Social Services Worker or Foster Care Worker
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
  • Autism Advocate or Mental Health Advocate
  • After-School Program Staff or Childcare Volunteer
  • Similar role supporting children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities

We also encourage applications from those currently pursuing or who have completed college coursework or a degree in:

  • Psychology, Education, or Special Education
  • Early Childhood Education or Human Development
  • Child Development, Sociology, or Social Work
  • Behavioral Sciences or a related field

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, crouch, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Frequent transitions between floor and standing positions throughout the workday
  • Active engagement with children and quick movement within home, clinic, school, and community settings
  • Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviors and implement behavior intervention strategies
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist children and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic devices for documentation and data collection
  • Ability to travel between client locations

Pay

$24.00/hr - $28.00/hr (DOE)

Schedule

Part-time, 10 - 15 hours per week
