In-Arena Host

About the Role

The Seattle Kraken are seeking a personable, creative, and detail-obsessed storyteller to join the Entertainment Experience & Promotions (SKEEP) team as an in-arena host on game nights. This role is pivotal in elevating the atmosphere inside Climate Pledge Arena for Kraken games and is open to individuals of all genders, identities, orientations, and races. The ideal candidate will be a multi-level communicator, able to interact with all levels of the organization and fan base, and embody the core values of the Seattle Kraken.

Responsibilities

• Co-host all Seattle Kraken home games and other events as needed.
• Perform on-camera hosting duties, including in-game promotions, intermissions, plaza parties, interviews, and special events.
• Create and build an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm for the fan base.
• Memorize game night script copy.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Kraken home schedule.

Requirements

• Highly collaborative skill set to activate a team of storytellers and generate content.
• Prior experience hosting large-scale public events is strongly preferred.
• Strong on-camera presence.
• Supportive voice with experience handling intense, live-event situations.
• Ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
• Knowledge of NHL and Seattle Kraken hockey.
• Demonstrated passion for performance (e.g., stage, screen, live theater, improv comedy).

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Frequent bending, lifting (15-50 pounds), sitting, and exposure to multiple external elements.
• Extensive walking through the building, including inclines and stairs.
• Exposure to loud noises and extreme temperatures.

Pay

Compensation for this part-time, non-exempt (hourly) role ranges from $35/hr to $42.50/hr per game, depending on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Overtime eligibility applies.
