Imprinting Supervisor - D Shift

About the role

The Imprinting Supervisor oversees imprinting press operations within the Sparta facility, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant activities with company standards and customer specifications. This role involves managing a team of operators, coordinating with various departments, and achieving production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of imprinting press operators, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop work schedules and assign tasks to meet production deadlines.
  • Promote a positive and safe work environment.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of imprinting machines and equipment.
  • Ensure all imprinting processes adhere to quality standards and client specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to imprinting operations promptly.
  • Monitor the quality of caps and closures and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to address any quality concerns.
  • Work closely with other departments – Production Scheduling, Supply Chain, Injection Molding, Flexo/Digital – to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate production updates and any issues to the Production Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in imprinting or a related field, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working within manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of caps, closures, liner and assembly processes, equipment and quality control standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with imprinting machinery and production software is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
