Implementation Specialist - Epic EHR Systems

About the role

Analyzes electronic medical record (EHR) implementation projects to determine scope, level of effort, path, resources, training, timelines, support, and application build requirements. Leads projects during implementation go-live, directing support and clinic teams, and managing the issue resolution process. Acts as a subject matter expert for Adventist Health EHR and affiliated applications, consulting with market leaders on workflows and operational decisions as clinics transition to the new EHR application. Collaborates with Adventist Health EHR partners, local IT, imaging, revenue cycle partners, clinical informatics, quality, and standards teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads project management of clinic Adventist Health EHR application implementations, including identifying project scope, determining key participants, developing timelines, and gathering data requirements for ambulatory builds.
• Leads project team members, holds everyone accountable for tasks and deadlines, and acts as a change management leader for clinic teams.
• Develops schedules for onsite go-live support and acts as onsite lead during the event.
• Coordinates and submits build requests for existing clinics and providers, overseeing schedule template builds, coordinating access, ensuring successful testing, and collaborating with appropriate teams.
• Oversees patient accounting build/tasks for ambulatory projects in collaboration with the revenue cycle team.
• Designs, supports, and builds schedule templates, including developing documents to drive quality improvement and analyzing data to implement new strategies for effective scheduling processes.
• Develops workflows and consults with clinic leaders on operational decisions, documenting current and future state workflows to ensure optimal and consistent use of Cerner application.
• Collaborates with Adventist Health EHR partners, local IT, imaging teams, revenue cycle partners, clinical informatics, quality, provisioning, and standards teams to resolve problems and streamline appointment scheduling processes.
• Facilitates training classes, collaboration and working sessions, and application demonstrations, coordinating logistics for successful training events.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (required).
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Three years of related experience (preferred).

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $78,000 to $110,575.

• Full-time regular.
