The Opportunity

In your first six months at Quorso, you won't be maintaining dashboards. You will rewire how global retail giants like Dollar General, PetSmart, Tractor Supply and Circle K make operational decisions. Your job is to take terabytes of messy, real-world store data, find millions in operational savings, and turn them into personalized, actionable insights across more than 60,000 stores worldwide. The best part of this role, and the hardest, is the SQL. Retail data reaches us raw and broken, and you are the one who cleans it, joins messy tables, restructures it and writes the logic that makes it usable, all in a pure SQL interface. This is data-shaping, not query-and-report, and that distinction is the whole job.

This is a fully remote role based in the US, and we're only able to consider candidates based in Eastern or Central time zones to ensure good working-hours overlap with both our US and our UK-based teams, including the Head of Implementation.

What you'll do

• Take raw, messy retail data from enterprise clients and shape it in SQL into something usable: cleaning, complex joins, restructuring and bespoke logic.
• Partner with enterprise customer teams to understand their operations and define what the data needs to answer.
• Use SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to surface insights that change frontline and executive decisions.
• Build dashboards that highlight store performance, flag improvement opportunities and measure results.
• Translate findings into practical recommendations that drive operational change.
• Work with Product, Customer and Implementation teams so the data connects to business priorities.

What you'll bring (the SQL bar is real)

• Strong, hands-on SQL used to transform data, not just read it: complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and restructuring messy multi-source data. Be ready to walk us through a specific query you have written and the problem it solved.
• A track record of using data to change business decisions, not just years on the job.
• Experience building reports or dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar.
• The ability to turn complex, technical findings into a clear business case that non-technical leaders act on. Even better if you have:
• Retail, FMCG or other operational data experience.
• Data modelling experience, or a good grasp of how data flows from source systems into BI tools.
• A track record of improving processes or influencing decisions through data.
