Implementation Engineer - Kubernetes

About the role

NCR Voyix Corporation is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team. This role involves deploying and scaling applications at the retail edge using the NCR Voyix Edge platform, which is built on Kubernetes, Ubuntu, and other cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Become a technical expert in the NCR Voyix Edge solution
• Aid customers in integrating and deploying the NCR Voyix Edge solution in their environments
• Provide guidance and familiarize customers and internal teams with the deployment and use of the solution
• Collaborate with customers to deploy their applications into the NCR Voyix Edge solution
• Resolve issues and provide solutions to complex applications
• Build and maintain lab environments
• Communicate timelines and completion dates to team members
• Maintain an updated knowledge of our products, technologies, and competitors
• Support the Sales engineering team in product architecture and proof of concepts
• Automate processes to enhance functionality, efficiency, and process simplicity

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, and troubleshooting clusters
• Familiarity with Helm charts
• Experience with Linux server operating systems
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of microservice architectures and service mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with scripting/configuration-as-code (Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash, Powershell)
• Knowledge of the application development lifecycle and best practices involving source code management, application build, test, and deployment
• Computer networking knowledge, including debugging network issues in Linux
• Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies
• Willingness to provide occasional out-of-hours support during busy periods

Workstyle

This role is based in Midtown Atlanta and is a full-time position. Applicants must be available for occasional out-of-hours support during peak times.
