Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop Impact Managers and corps members to build and cultivate strong school partnerships.
  • Ensure a strong service impact and create opportunities for engaging outside volunteers/visitors.
  • Foster opportunities for member development and support the overall efforts of City Year’s mission statement.
  • Manage the Impact Department budget, including approving requests, managing spending strategy, and coordinating with the operations department to track spending.
  • Guide, motivate, and manage staff in a collaborative and community-minded environment.
  • Lead the development and execution of the site’s Whole School Whole Child strategy for product development and content management implementation.
  • Participate in school observations, obtain feedback from Student Success Coaches, staff Volunteers and school partners, review best practices from City Year and education experts, and review City Year data.
  • Target areas of strength and improvement to promote to colleagues or to address through additional training and resources.
  • Be an active Volunteer of the City Year national network by participating in conference calls, responding to emails, and completing other tasks as necessary.

  • Experience in education or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the education system and City Year’s service model.
  • Experience with data analysis and evaluation.
