About the Role

Compass Family Services, a 100+ year old nonprofit addressing homelessness in San Francisco, seeks an Impact Associate to support Salesforce reporting and operations. This part-time role (24 hrs/week) is based at 37 Grove St., San Francisco, with flexibility in scheduling (Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm). The position is fully in-person for the first three months, with a hybrid option afterward (minimum 2 days/week in office, pending approval).

Responsibilities

  • Compass Reporting Needs:
    • Manage reporting requests, including building new reports, editing existing reports, and ensuring accuracy of formulas.
    • Pull data for quarterly meetings and stay updated on program database usage.
    • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for funders, clean and transform data, and upload into funder databases.
    • Familiarize with external funder databases to support program reporting requirements.
  • Salesforce Support:
    • Train new program hires on Salesforce.
    • Respond to Salesforce help desk tickets.
    • Build custom fields and objects for program use.
    • Support Salesforce app usage (e.g., Adobe Sign, Apsona).
    • Document processes for training purposes.
    • Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience building complex reports in Salesforce OR two years’ experience building reports in another database.
  • Salesforce Administrator certificate preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
  • Ability to manipulate data, produce summary statistics, and create visuals.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving data discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
  • Excitement about technology’s impact on organizational success.

Pay

$35 - $37 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, 24 hours per week, split over four or five days. Flexible schedule within standard working hours (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm).
