About the role
The City of Bangor Public Health and Community Services Department is seeking a qualified professional to administer vaccines and conduct STI testing on a temporary, per diem basis during the 2027 influenza season.
Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines and conduct STI testing
- Provide health education and counseling
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Document patient interactions and test results accurately
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
- Current Maine RN license
- Experience in immunization administration and STI testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of immunization protocols and guidelines
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive patient information
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

Pay
The salary range for this per diem position is $34.55 to $46.39 per hour.
Schedule
Temporary, per diem basis during the 2027 influenza season, with the potential for continued employment as needed.
