About the role

Trueline's client, a fast-growing immigration law firm with a high-volume practice, is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join their team in Queens, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare a variety of immigration filings, applications, motions, and supporting documentation
  • Aid attorneys with removal defense, asylum, and other immigration matters
  • Communicate with clients to gather case information and supporting evidence
  • Track case deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation
  • Cook up with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently through the legal process
  • Help manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support hearing preparation and other litigation-related activities as needed

Requirements

  • Prior immigration law experience with significant drafting responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of immigration case preparation and filing procedures
  • Excellent written communication and document preparation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Comfortable working primarily in-office in Queens, NY
