Immigration Attorney (Removal Defense)
About the role
The Law Offices of Robert M. Bell, P.A. is a Hollywood, Florida firm handling family-based, humanitarian, and removal defense immigration matters for clients across South Florida. The firm has built its reputation on professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service, and it takes the hard cases and sees them through. This is a long-term platform role, not a stepping stone. You inherit a live docket, you are the attorney of record from day one, and you have room to build a client base of your own with the firm's name and support behind you.
Responsibilities
- Represent individuals in removal proceedings in both detained and non-detained settings
- Attend master calendar hearings, individual hearings, and bond hearings
- Prepare and file motions to reopen, motions to terminate, motions for bond, and motions to continue
- Prepare and file applications for relief including asylum, adjustment of status, waivers, and cancellation of removal
- Represent clients at USCIS interviews
- Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and government agencies
- Provide consultations to prospective clients
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on removal defense experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with demonstrated courtroom advocacy in immigration court
- Experience across detained dockets and bond practice, plus humanitarian and family-based filings alongside removal work
- Active member in good standing with any U.S. State Bar Association
- Full fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken
- A commitment to a long-term seat
- Clear, consistent communication with clients and government agencies, and a service-first approach to a difficult docket
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to carry a full removal docket without a missed deadline
Benefits
- Salary: $100,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience
- 20% client participation and origination incentive on business you generate, paid on top of base
