Immediate Opening - Teacher, Special Education for Specialized Programs

About the Role

Grades 6-8 Learning for Life provides integrated support to students with a variety of developmental and cognitive disabilities in a small, structured classroom with opportunities for inclusion with non‑disabled peers, as appropriate, within a general education school.

• Students learn functional academic and life skills.
• Instruction on the Essential Elements of the Maryland College & Career Readiness Standards.
• Students pursue a High School Certificate of Completion.
• Graduation status is reviewed annually.

Pay

11 Month Teacher Pay Scale (TA1) – 208 Days – 7 Hours. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act this position is exempt from overtime. Actual salary placement will be in accordance with the salary procedures of the Frederick County Public School System.
