Position Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Sheetfed Press Operator will set up and operate sheet‑fed printing equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety. The facility produces a diverse mix of commercial print and paperboard products, including cartons, pamphlets, brochures, books, and other high‑quality printed materials.

Responsibilities

• Complete press setups and make‑readies
• Operate sheet‑fed presses efficiently and safely
li>Change inks and load materials
• Produce high‑quality printed sheets
• Monitor color, registration, and overall print quality
• Work with various cutting, scoring, creasing, and perforating requirements
• Inspect finished work for quality
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaborate with the production team to meet quality and productivity goals

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of sheet‑fed press experience
• Familiarity with equipment such as Komori, Heidelberg, KBA/Koenig & Bauer, Manroland 700, Mitsubishi, or similar sheet‑fed presses
• Understanding of sheet‑fed offset printing and solid press fundamentals (training on specific equipment will be provided)
• Ready to advance from Assistant Pressman to Lead Operator or to take on Lead Press Operator or supervisory roles
