Responsibilities
- Directs student performers for the MCPS Latin Dance Competition and manages the team throughout the season.
- Oversight of choreography, costume selection, and administrative tasks.
- Supervision of students during practices and events.
- Promotion of fairness and ensuring safety for all participants.
Requirements
- Maryland state certification in appropriate field of education.
- Preference given to candidates with dance training and production experience.

- Knowledge of MCPS curriculum and techniques for integrating curriculum.
- Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
- Ability to provide instruction reflecting multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
- Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
- Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
- Knowledge and application of the six performance standards for MCPS Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS).
- Knowledge and application of the Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
