About the role
The Immediate Care Clinician plays a crucial role in providing primary care to patients in a variety of settings, including walk-in and scheduled appointments. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to patients following accepted standards and protocols.
- Function as part of a team, seeing patients on a scheduled and walk-in basis.
- Direct clinical care together with other members of the care team.
- Perform pre-operative care, post-hospital follow-ups, physical exams (up to four per day), and urgent care.
- Offer telehealth care as needed.
- Participate in Immediate Care team meetings to maximize the efficiency of the care process and design standing orders to guide patient care.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of patients in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern principles and techniques of general medicine and public health.
- Ability to work well under pressure, analyze individual member’s needs, reach sound conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
- MD, DO from an accredited medical school; BA/BS, MS preferred.
- Graduate of AMA accredited Physician Assistant or NP program.
- Experience: 2 years of experience preferred in providing patient care as MD, DO, PA, NP or preference for board certification in internal medicine, family practice, or emergency medicine.
- Languages: Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current unrestricted Connecticut License to practice medicine as MD, DO, PA, NP; Active Federal DEA and Controlled Substance Registration; Certified PA or APRN; Current CPR certification and ACLS certification required.
Qualifications

Pay
Competitive compensation and up to $25k sign on/retention bonus depending on experience.
