Imaging Tech Student
About the Role
As our Imaging Tech - Student, you will contribute to our medical imaging department by performing varied duties tailored to support departmental needs and enhance your professional experience, above and beyond school requirements. You will engage in flexible tasks, learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment, and utilize your developing skills to support the efficient operation of our imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for self, patients, and all other individuals, including radiation safety.
- Produces and develops quality exams in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Prepares patients for exams; provides instructions regarding procedures; assists and positions the patient during the exam.
- Explains procedures to patients and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
- Observes patient and equipment during procedures, reports/documents unusual occurrences, and records patient conditions.
- Communicates, in writing and verbally, with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to facilitate continuum of care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be enrolled in an approved ARRT, ARDMS, or CNMTB training program, within nine (9) months of graduation.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Graduate of an accredited sonography program.

Pay
$18.00 - $27.67 per hour.
