Job Summary
Join Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, as an Imaging Student Extern PRN. Gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to patient care.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiography
- 1+ years of imaging education completed, or as mandated by state of practice (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
- Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs
- Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
- Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
- Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards
