Imaging Director
About the role
The Imaging Director at Samaritan is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the imaging department, including staff management, budgeting, equipment maintenance, and patient care. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably with a Master’s degree, and a Graduate of AMA and JCERT two-year Radiologic Technology program. Seven years of post-graduate experience, with at least three years in an acute care/hospital setting, is required, along with five years of supervisory/management experience. The ideal candidate must have ARRT registration, a Washington State Radiologic technology license, and expertise or credentialing in another imaging modality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the imaging department, including staff management, budgeting, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to facilitate departmental operations.
- Review work schedules and participate in the hiring process for new staff.
- Oversee the operation of imaging equipment, including x-ray machines and MRI equipment.
- Lead a high-trust culture that empowers employees and fosters a strong team environment.
- Find creative solutions to complex problems and demonstrate initiative and creativity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Graduate of AMA and JCERT two-year Radiologic Technology program.
- Seven years post-graduate experience, with at least three years in an acute care/hospital setting.
- Five years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- ARRT Registered.
- Washington State Radiologic technology license within six months of hire.
- Expertise or credentialing in one other imaging modality.
- Knowledge of Washington State Nuclear medicine regulations.
- Knowledge of PACS.
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three months of hire.
