Imaging Clerk, UofL Hospital, 6:00a-2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Provides secretarial support by performing a variety of office procedures (filing, record-keeping, inventory, answering phone, etc.).
• Promotes positive relations with other departments, physicians, and the public through accurate and timely communication (verbal and written) in a professional and confidential manner.
• Screens and refers all incoming calls and department visitors to ensure accurate and timely departmental communication and a positive department presentation.
• Proactively oversees and maintains schedules for appropriate areas.
• Distributes mail to appropriate individuals.
• Maintains departmental records and establishes a departmental filing system for expeditious retrieval of information.
• Attends all UofL Health required educational programs as well as all KNOW modules.
• Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes resources efficiently.
• Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
• Responsible for ensuring required certifications are up-to-date.
• Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
• Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
• Six months secretarial/clerical experience (preferred)
• Health care experience (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
