Imaging Assistant - Nights

About the role

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking an Imaging Assistant on a full-time basis. As an Imaging Assistant, you will perform various clerical functions as needed by Radiology Department leadership and staff. You will also assist the radiologist with various functions of the radiology reading room. We prioritize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Technologists with general patient care
• Obtain clinical histories from charts
• Assist patients on and off table and with moving/positioning for exam
• Responsible for handling of film plates
• Upload images into PACS verifying proper exposure parameters
• Clear dirty linens and replace bedding/stretchers with clean linens
• Complete exam tracking/enter notes into MEDITECH and PACS
• Perform clerical tasks as needed
• Assist in maintaining supplies and cleaning rooms
• Transport patients as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED
• Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
