ILUS - Brake Press Operator

About the role

The Brake Press Operator at Daifuku is responsible for creating, shaping, and customizing materials using press brakes and other equipment. Key responsibilities include following safety protocols, interpreting detailed instructions, and ensuring product conformity to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follows the Safety policy, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Sets up and operates press brakes and other equipment on various parts of different shapes and sizes
• Checks products against standards for conformance to specifications
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
• Complies with Daifuku’s Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures
• Ensures sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Math skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
• Quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Team orientation
• Crane operation certification required
• Forklift operation certification required
• LOTO certification preferred, but not required
• Availability to work on Saturdays as needed
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Math skills, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of standard and metric measurements, quality assurance and self-inspection techniques, self-motivated and detail-oriented, team orientation, crane operation certification required, forklift operation certification required, LOTO certification preferred, availability to work on Saturdays as needed, ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
