About the role

Astound US is growing and looking for 10 Picture Book Illustrators to join our roster. We champion bold, contemporary children’s illustration and believe exceptional artists deserve exceptional support. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside an internationally recognised agency while continuing to work remotely from anywhere in the world. What we're looking for

We're especially excited to hear from Picture Book Illustrators who have:

• A strong portfolio aimed at the publishing market
• Traditional-leaning stylistic elements with confident draftsmanship
• Strong characterisation and proportionate character design
• Rich storytelling and expressive world-building
• A unique personal approach that stands apart
• A sense of humour (a huge bonus!)

We're especially looking for artists who create magical, character-rich worlds full of charm, detail, and personality – immersive, memorable work that feels unmistakably their own. We're drawn to styles that are timeless yet contemporary: thoughtful, character-led, emotionally rich, and strong in storytelling.

All submissions are processed by our Talent Scouts at ITSme and reviewed in collaboration with the Astound team. Send us a short introduction, 5–10 images of your work, or a link to your portfolio/website at: hello@itsmegroup.com
