Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary non-faculty point of contact for students, building supportive relationships that promote satisfaction and persistence through remote communication and in-person interaction.
  • Advise students on academic programs, policies, scheduling, degree and credential requirements, including complex or non-linear pathways.
  • Coordinate with campus partners and refer students to appropriate campus resources to address needs beyond the coach’s direct scope and facilitate timely, effective support.
  • Initiate and maintain proactive, targeted communication with students to support engagement, retention, and re-recruitment efforts.
  • Track, analyze, and interpret student needs and experiences to inform improvements to programs, policies, and processes.
  • Support recruitment, re-recruitment, and retention goals through outreach campaigns and group information sessions.
  • Review academic records and documentation to verify completion of academic and credential requirements and recommend eligible candidates to CTC.
  • Collaborate with program and unit leaders by sharing insights that support student success, institutional effectiveness, and CTC accreditation expectations.
  • Coordinate, participate, and/or manage School of Education events and initiatives that advance core values, student engagement, and community partnerships.

  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software applications, along with the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions, exercise good judgment, and effectively resolve student concerns.

  • Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
