Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
- Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors
- Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA
- Assist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings
- Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with 3 years of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred with 1 year of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
- RBT certification (preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable)
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed
- Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods
Supervision and Training
- Supervised regularly by a BCBA through direct observation, consultation, and performance feedback
- Opportunities for professional growth, training, and supervision toward RBT certification
