IHC Lab Assistant

We process tissue specimens and digitize results, hosting client data on our proprietary platform, PathologyMap™. This platform enables industry-leading turnaround time for diagnosis, as well as online viewing, sharing, and search. About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated IHC Lab Assistant to join our fast-growing team. Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Laboratory Operations, the IHC Lab Assistant will apply a working knowledge and skill of designated duties to support the Department and complete daily assigned workload.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and maintaining the laboratory to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
- Shipping and receiving client projects and samples, including preparing and labeling materials for transport
- Maintaining inventory and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed
- Performing slide and cassette printing, slide cleaning, and scanning according to established protocols
- Following strict quality control and quality assurance standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
Requirements
- Must possess a thorough working knowledge of IHC staining procedures, histochemical staining procedures, and routine histology procedures
- High school diploma along with some lab experience
- Tech-savvy and a fast learner; experience with proprietary digital LIMS systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working at a biotech company preferred but not required
