Program Overview

Flowserve IGNITE is a highly selective, three-year rotational leadership development program for talented engineering graduates ready to turn technical potential into real business results through hands-on learning and high-visibility assignments.

This is more than a first job - it is a launchpad. The IGNITE Program is intentionally designed to provide you with diverse experiences that will stretch your technical skills, build your leadership capabilities, and expose you to the people, processes, and business decisions that power a global manufacturing organization.

As you progress through the program, you will learn how to combine engineering training and experiences with business acumen, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to make meaningful contributions, influence stakeholders, and help drive results that matter.

Your development will not stop when the program ends. IGNITE graduates continue to build their careers through opportunities that expand their skills, broaden their network, introduce new areas of the business, and support long-term growth at Flowserve.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering by May 2027.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and desire to build a career as a people leader.
  • Mobility within the continental United States for at least three years to accept assignments at IGNITE program facilities, which may including Addison, IL; Bethlehem, PA; Chesapeake, VA; Cookeville, TN; Dallas, TX; Hastings, NE; Kalamazoo, MI; Lynchburg, VA; Pasadena, TX; Raleigh, NC; Springville, UT; and Taneytown, MD.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Motivation to develop business and leadership skills while working on operational and business critical projects and solutions.
  • Strong organization and work/project planning skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Zero to two years of relevant work experience, which can include internships or co-op experience.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Understanding of data collection and analytics, with the ability to report findings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Experience with project management tools or methods such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Experience leading teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Understanding of basic business principles.
