About the role

The IEC Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment. They repair or replace faulty equipment, fabricate parts as needed, and adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies. They must prepare and complete maintenance documentation and collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to complete maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, analyse, troubleshoot systems and equipment.
  • Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
  • Fabrication of parts as required.
  • Follow all SOPs and instructions from Managers and Supervisors.
  • Prepare and complete maintenance documentation, such as work orders and preventive maintenance forms.
  • Communicate effectively in English for end-of-shift turnovers.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Participate in the continual improvement program and work within ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 guidelines.
  • Train new employees if assigned by supervisor.
  • Repair and maintain all equipment (pumps, GLVs, filter presses, etc.) to industry standards.
  • Wear a half-mask respirator.
  • Operate forklift, scissorlift, pallet jack.
  • Must have electrical background and experience with High Voltage up to 480V.
  • Automation and PLC background.
  • Ability to read and draw electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring and PLC issues.
  • Ability to work on instrumentation: flowmeter, level sensors, pH/ORP instruments, and more.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills, able to communicate in English.
  • Electrical background and experience with High Voltage up to 480V.
  • Automation and PLC background.
  • Ability to read and draw electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring and PLC issues.
  • Ability to work on instrumentation: flowmeter, level sensors, pH/ORP instruments, and more.
