Responsibilities
- Support project execution, material procurement, work order management, safety compliance, quality control, project documentation, and customer coordination.
- Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, test, and maintain electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, lighting systems, motor controls, and associated equipment.
- Lead electrical installations, modifications, testing, commissioning, and repair activities in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to Electrical Maintenance Technicians, technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the lead field technician for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project execution activities.
- Interpret and apply electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, submittals, technical manuals, and contract documents.
- Perform inspections, acceptance testing, quality control reviews, and condition assessments of installed systems.
- Support startup, commissioning, and operational testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Cover planned outages, switching procedures, system restoration activities, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize safe work practices, including LOTO procedures, arc-flash protection, energized electrical work practices, and SDS compliance.
- Manage service tickets, work orders, maintenance records, and CMMS documentation.
- Collect, document, and report technical field data to support maintenance records, asset databases, and project documentation.
- Cover technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel to support field operations and project execution.
- Support material procurement through material identification, requisition development, inventory tracking, and supply chain coordination.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, correspondence, and contract deliverables.
- Support project planning, scheduling, execution, turnover, and closeout activities.
- Maintain project records, technical documentation, as-built drawings, and document control systems.
- Document field conditions, deficiencies, quality findings, and corrective actions.
- Support proposal development, technical writing, cost estimating, and execution planning efforts.
- Provide field reports, technical recommendations, project updates, and performance metrics to project leadership.
- Cover permits, badges, security clearances, and site access requirements.
- Support multiple facilities, customers, and cross-functional project teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of facility operations, maintenance programs, and construction activities aligned with the regional IDIQ manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with minimum 8+ years of experience in the trade.
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent trade training required.
- Current State of Hawaii Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician License required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, construction, facility operations, or related technical fields.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, motor controls, and facility infrastructure.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, installation access credentials, and government-issued badges.
