About the role

At PwC, our cybersecurity professionals focus on protecting organisations from cyber threats through advanced technologies and strategies. In this cloud security role, you will design, implement, and elevate the security posture across clients’ cloud environments, covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. You will work with one or more Cloud Service Providers (CSP) to implement security protocols, monitor for potential security breaches, conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing of cloud-based systems, and stay current with the latest security threats and trends in cloud technology.

You will also enhance your leadership style by motivating, developing, and inspiring others to deliver quality work. Responsibilities include coaching, leveraging team members’ strengths, and managing performance to meet client expectations. With your growing business acumen, you will identify opportunities that contribute to the firm’s success. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating PwC’s purpose and values while embracing technology and innovation to improve delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of resilient security strategies for cloud and container environments.
  • Guide and manage client relationships, ensuring alignment with security objectives.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members in cybersecurity leading practices.
  • Provide specialized training on secure coding and cloud security methodologies to development and operations teams.
  • Enhance leadership skills to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Uphold adherence to the firm’s ethical standards and business conduct.
  • Analyse and identify linkages and interactions between system components.
  • Take ownership of projects, ensuring successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
  • Partner with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop skills outside your comfort zone and encourage others to do the same.
  • Effectively mentor others and use work reviews to deepen team expertise.
  • Address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members, and stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
  • Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, the firm’s code of conduct, and independence requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Skills

  • Leading development of cloud security strategies.
  • Designing scalable security processes and governance.
  • Strategizing automated enforcement mechanisms for cloud security.
  • Configuring custom policy frameworks within CNAPP technologies.
  • Instrumenting in-line security scanning technologies.
  • Providing guidance on secure coding and cloud security.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages.
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration platform administration experience.

Preferred fields of study: Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $232,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
