Identity and Access Management Engineer

About the role
Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IAM Engineer to streamline, automate, and improve our existing identity platform. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Okta, as well as its Okta Integration Network (OIN). Responsibilities
- Own and expand Okta integrations across the organization, leveraging the Okta Integration Network to connect business-critical applications
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to create and implement RBAC standardizations
- Ensure, monitor, and report on user access reviews while supporting audit and the GRC team during access review windows
- Design and implement automation strategies using Okta Workflows, BetterCloud, and scripting to reduce manual provisioning and access management overhead
- Develop and maintain device and conditional access policies, ensuring secure implementation across production environments
- Produce clear, maintainable documentation to support team knowledge and operational continuity
Requirements
- Strong experience with Okta, but familiar with Microsoft Entra and/or Google Workspace
- Hands-on experience with SAML, OIDC, OAuth, for custom internal application deployments
- 5+ years of experience handling IAM with a cloud-based IdP
- Comfortable operating as the primary IAM owner in a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of least privilege, zero trust architecture, and RBAC; and how to apply them practically across a diverse user and application landscape

Pay
$110,000 - $120,000. Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
