About the role
To provide direct educational services to the service users of RHA Howell Care Centers, Inc. under the supervision of the Director of Professional Services/Program Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide educational services to individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health and substance use challenges.
- Work closely with the Director of Professional Services/Program Director to develop and implement educational plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of activities that promote social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Support the Director of Professional Services/Program Director in conducting assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust educational plans accordingly.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for the individuals served.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Regularly required to lift 10 lbs., must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs., pull a minimum of 10 lbs., squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
- Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Physical requirements including lifting, pulling, squatting, kneeling, crawling, crouching, climbing, stooping, regular use of hands, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and demonstrating CPR proficiency.
