About the role

Easterseals NJ offers residential counseling positions in Toms River and Manchester, NJ (Ocean County). The schedule is part-time, Saturday-Sunday from 8am-4pm (16 hours per week). A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with $500 after 90 days and an additional $500 after 6 months of successful employment.

About Us And Our Program

Since 1948, Easterseals New Jersey has provided services for individuals with disabilities and their families, focusing on daily living support and community-based programs that teach life skills.

What You’ll Do

• Support consumers in achieving personal care goals and addressing ongoing challenges.
• Educate consumers on medications, track logs, and conduct monthly audits.
• Cook counselors coordinate services based on individual needs.
• Deliver high-quality care in line with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
• Accurately document services within required timeframes using electronic health records.

Who You Are

• Education & Experience: 6 months direct care experience preferred, high school diploma or GED required.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Essential function includes driving.
