Description
Help keep the Meridian thrift store safe, welcoming, and functioning smoothly. As a Maintenance Volunteer, you’ll tackle small projects that might seem simple but make a big difference: hanging shelves, tightening hinges, replacing toilet flappers, securing bookcases, and light repairs. Every project you complete frees up our team to focus on what they do best—serving youth and families in our community.
What You’ll Do
- Work on a variety of small maintenance tasks around the store, from hanging shelves and securing bookcases to tightening hinges, replacing toilet flappers, trimming trees, and handling other light repairs as needed.
- We’ll give you a list of projects, and you can work at your own pace. Some tasks might take 30 minutes; others could be a few hours.
- You’ll have direct support from store staff, and we’ll provide tools and materials for each project.
Ideal For You If You’re
- A someone who enjoys hands-on work and has basic DIY or maintenance experience—or the willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working independently or with guidance and able to follow instructions.
- Looking for a flexible commitment where you can drop in as your schedule allows.
- Eager to contribute in a tangible way to a local nonprofit serving vulnerable youth.
Time Commitment
Flexible. Drop in as often as you’d like—whether that’s weekly, monthly, or as your schedule allows. Projects range from 30 minutes to a few hours each.
