Ida & Harry Retail Sales Associate
Position Overview
Ida and Harry Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, assisting guests throughout their shopping journey, and fostering a welcoming and engaging environment. Through strong product knowledge, communication skills, and sales expertise, the Sales Associate contributes to driving sales performance, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating positive, memorable experiences that reflect the values of the brand.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon entry, providing a personalized and attentive shopping experience from start to finish
- Actively listen to customers' needs and provide tailored product recommendations based on their preference
- Guide guests through styling options, outfit pairings, and product features to inspire confident purchasing decisions
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, including cash, card, gift cards, points and returns
- Aid with merchandising tasks, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining a tidy and organized store environment
- Build rapport with guests while being an expert host
- Collaborate with team members and store management to achieve store targets and objectives
- Aid in inventory management tasks, such as conducting stock counts and restocking inventory
- Actively participate in training sessions to better understand product offering, key details and fit
- Adhere to exhibit security measures and assist in loss prevention efforts to minimize theft and shrinkage
Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred)
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Previous experience in a retail selling environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Enthusiastic and friendly personality with a customer-centric approach
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and handling cash
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill set, considering a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity and market data alignment. In alignment with our Company culture, we will strive to communicate openly about the goals of the Company and the design of the compensation program. The compensation process is designed to be fair and simple so that all Members and managers understand the Company's goals and future career development opportunities for upward mobility.

$22.00 per hour
