ICU Travel Nurse

Job Summary

You will be a direct clinical registered nurse providing independent patient care within your scope of practice. You will continuously enhance your nursing knowledge, skills, and behaviors through education and involvement beyond basic job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Affirms patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Guides and directs healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (e.g., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices).
• Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary.
• Initiates emergency support measures (e.g., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury).
• Assists with patient care duties/tasks (e.g., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene).

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as registered nurse in specialty area(s).
• Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing and/or compact state license.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Pay

$40.00 - $100.00 /hour
